Rooted in Catholic-Christian tradition and experience, the Wahlert community facilitates student development, integrating their spiritual, intellectual, social, physical, emotional and artistic dimensions through a challenging, stimulating and creative educational environment. We believe all students can achieve success. By empowering students in their pursuit of excellence, we prepare them for lifelong learning.

Wahlert is a four year Catholic high school of the Archdiocese of Dubuque, established in 1959 by 14 Dubuque area parishes. We currently serve 600 students from the tri-state area in grades 9 through 12. Wahlert is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, the Iowa Department of Education and the Archdiocese of Dubuque.
